Bulldog Digital Media announces extensive music festival live streaming representation partnerships

Portfolio is the world’s most extensive and eclectic collection of live music festivals for live streaming and presentation by the world’s leading brands

LOS ANGELES, March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Bulldog DM the world’s first digital live streaming agency announced today that it has made available an extensive portfolio of the world’s leading music festivals and experiences. These rich cultural content experiences are available for brands to present and digitally broadcast to fans on any connected device and include major 3-day festivals, EDM festivals, country music, an indie tour and leading music venues.

Bulldog DM is working with promoters to provide and offer a turnkey streaming solution that includes full production from the stages, a branded user experience, social media integration and experiential content.

It’s estimated that 32 million plus Americans and 1 in 5 millennials will attend music festivals this year with physical tickets in high demand. The live stream experience allows the festival to be extended to fans around the country and the world. Brands can present the live streamed experience and connect with the passion of music fans who get to see their favorite artists performing on the top stages in the world in full HD, broadcast grade video and audio. Last week Facebook’s corporate blog noted, “we’ve seen that on average people watch a live video more than three times longer when it is live compared to when it is not live.”

Bulldog’s festival partners include the Firefly Music Festival occurring June 16-19, at The Woodlands of Dover, DE with headliners Mumford and Sons, Kings of Leon, Florence + the Machine and Deadmau5; the 22nd year of the Vans Warped Tour – the leading and longest running independent music tour in the country and promoter Prime Social Group’s entire festival line up that connects and resonates with millennials and students including this year’s #Fest featuring Fetty Wap, the Chainsmokers and Big Gigantic in April.

“Firefly Music Festival is the largest music festival on the east coast and we’re dedicated to curating a must-see lineup each year,” said Alex Yount, Sponsorship Senior Manager of Red Frog Events, the promoter of Firefly. “The natural beauty of The Woodlands provides a stunning backdrop for music fans from around the world to have a memorable and engaging 4-day summer weekend complete with a variety of musical and cultural experiences. We’re excited to work with Bulldog to provide this opportunity to a digital broadcast partner that will work with us to bring this experience beyond our attending fans to mobile and connected devices throughout the stream.”

“Our festivals, especially The Number Fest as the nation’s largest college festival, were designed and programmed to speak to and connect with millennials. The live stream will only reflect, enhance and amplify that connection for a brand that wants to authentically engage millennials. Bulldog helps us tell and execute that story,” said Adam Lynn, founder of Prime Social Group.

“The Vans Warped Tour has been the voice of 15-24 year old music fans for 22 years. We are keenly aware of how our fans engage on mobile handsets and via social media. Streaming dates on our tour in 2016 will allow brand partners to tap into that connection and engage with this highly influential group. Bulldog DM understands how valuable that live mobile music culture is and how it can be conveyed to a live stream brand partner,” said Kevin Lyman, founder of Warped Tour.

“We are continually stunned at the compelling cultural experiences these promoters curate at their festivals. In addition to their lineups of the greatest artists in the world their experiences extend to fashion, food, lifestyle, philanthropy and learning. Our goal is to bring these deep experiences to life on any connected device to viewers around the world, which provides a home run for not only the brand but the fan and the artist. This will become the unrivaled and authentic way for brands to engage fans,” said Bulldog DM CEO John Petrocelli.

Bulldog DM allows brands to engage, build and plan their live music strategies across all or some of their portfolio and is an active discussion with media partners and platforms while also growing its group of turnkey content experiences.

Any brand that wants to reach this key demographic in an impactful manner will find a tremendous opportunity in the Prime Social Group live stream and digital experience offering. Moreover, these experiences provide great value as opposed to the much larger festivals that some brands find too expensive to support and they can now develop a calendar of experiences for a smaller spend and build a sustained strategy with Prime Social Group’s calendar powered by Bulldog” said Bulldog Digital Media CEO, John Petrocelli, a former AEG digital executive.

“We are very proud of the experiences we have developed for today’s music fan and we see a great opportunity to extend them to fans on any connected device, anywhere in the world and build in a deep social media strategy that transforms the viewer into a participant. We feel we have found the right partner in Bulldog Digital Media to present our experiences to the marketplace for the first time as they have the pedigree and experience in this market that no other company has. In addition they have educated us about the consumption of live streaming and its incredible demand on desktops, tablets, consoles and especially smart phones – which is where our audience is and lives” said Prime Social Group co-founder Adam Lynn.

The streaming of live music festivals via brand sponsorship has seen a significant market growth in 2014 with brands including T-Mobile, 7UP, Xbox, Red Bull and Budweiser all presenting multi-day, multi-stage live streamed experiences to consumers anywhere in the world on any device and Yahoo! and LiveNation launched a campaign to stream a live concert every single day of the year. American Express continues to deliver is leading edge Unstaged live multi-angle concert series to rave reviews on YouTube and VEVO. Bulldog DM has noted that live streamed festivals can yield 30-60 minute average viewer duration times with full social media integration and critical reporting metrics, key benchmarks that either not available via traditional advertising or simply not effective in reaching today’s millennial. “Our strategy when applied to this kind of content solves those problems for brands and advertisers” noted Petrocelli.

Bulldog Digital Media calls 2014 a breakthrough year for branded live streaming

2014 is the breakthrough year for sponsored live streamed music festivals

LOS ANGELES (October 14, 2014) – Bulldog Digital Media, the world’s first digital live streaming agency, has dubbed 2014 the breakthrough year for the delivery of live streamed music festivals. The company, which specializes in best practices for premium live streamed experiences for brands and sponsors, noted the growing number of live streamed festivals in 2014. As the music festival market continues to evolve into a cultural phenomenon showcasing music but art, fashion, food, spirits and lifestyle experiences reflecting trends in today’s culture, the fests are selling a majority of their tickets prior to announcing the headlining artists. Several festivals have even expanded to multiple weekends to meet demand and interest.

Bulldog Digital Media sees the rise in the volume of connected devices alongside the mass adoption of social media as the combination that catapulted live streaming into the forefront of the music industry in 2014. The ability to participate in these experiences in real time from any connected device has given the music lover another opportunity to see a band or be a part of a festival that they may not have otherwise had. The result is a deeply engaged and connected audience member who is transformed from a viewer into a participant. This is not only a great opportunity for the viewer but creates an unmatched opportunity for a digital sponsor. The average viewer duration time can range from 30-60 minutes for a multi-channel, multi- day music festival.

“The evolution of the market this year with brands presenting these festivals is a sign of things to come. Live streaming of these experiences is a rich, deep and innovative engagement that brands integrate social media strategies into. The brands get reach, engagement and metrics with the most desirable consumer demographic in the world. These live streamed experiences capture and convey all the excitement of the show and advance the digital brand of the festival, the artist and the sponsor. It’s really something to behold from any device: smartphone, tablet, laptop, console or connected TV,” said Bulldog Digital Media CEO John Petrocelli.

2014 began with 7UP’s presentation of the Ultra Music Festival, one of the leading EDM festivals in the US, presented live from multiple stages in Miami, which was followed up in April by T-Mobile’s three-day coverage and live stream of Coachella, from Indio, CA on YouTube. As the summer progressed Xbox presented the Bonnaroo Festival from Manchester Tennessee, Red Bull delivered the Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits festivals across its Red Bull TV platform and 7UP sponsored the first ever webcast of the Electric Daisy Carnival from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. T-Mobile followed up with Tomorrow Land in September and Budweiser expanded its curated festival Made in America live streaming from both locations, Philadelphia and Los Angeles over Labor Day Weekend and Apple continued its annual 30 day iTunes Festival live from London and a domestic version at SXSW in April. Early this year Yahoo! and LiveNation launched a series to stream a live concert a day for 365 days underscoring the interest in the live streaming music industry.
