Live concerts are music tech’s next frontier

67 percent of livestream viewers are more likely to buy a ticket to a concert/event after watching a livestream of that concert/event or a similar one. Jordan Zachary, chief strategy officer of ticket sales company Live Nation, said the company’s data shows that consumption of live content increases a fan’s desire to attend the concert: “Research shows that millennials highly value live experience, and we believe live attendance will continue to grow globally.”

OkeeChobee Festival Announces Daily Lineup and Schedule

The Florida music festival, OkeeChobee, has just revealed its daily lineup and schedule.

The headliners Usher & The Roots, Kings of Leon, and Bassnectar will be featured at times that range from 9: 30 – 12 pm. Usher and the Kings of Leon plan to perform two hours sets. You can view the entire schedule below:

 

OkeeChobee also plans to have catering for local food vendors, beverage stands, swimming areas, art installations, and yoga lessons. OkeeChobee attendees will have the opportunity to reach zen enlightenment while listening to their favorite music artists.

Zedd, Marshmello, and Ric Flair Announced as Indy 500 Snake Pit’s Headliners

On May 28, 2017, Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be hosting the Indy 500 Snake Pit music festival. The lineup for the festival plans to be Marshmello, Zedd, RL Grime, Action Bronson, Adventure Club, The Trap House, and many more.

The entire event will be hosted by the famed WWE wrestler, Ric Flair. Flair put out a recent statement, “Can’t wait to rock it out with all of you from the Snake Pit. Wooooo!”

Indy 500 Snake Pit Trailer 2017

The festival plans to open at 7 a.m. , where attendees will be greeted with beer trailers, food, beverages, and the deafening sound of 33 race cars. Indy 500 Snake Pit’s website, has dubbed the festival as “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

ODESZA and Kaskade Headline Day for Night Festival

This weekend, Day for Night festival will be kicking off in Houston, Texas. The two day festival will host EDM power house headliners like ODESZA, Kaskade, and Aphex Twin. The rest of the lineup will consist of more eclectic music artist like Run the Jewels, Blood Orange, and Little Dragon.

In addition to the stellar music artist lineup, Day for Night attendees will be treated to visual art displays during music artists performances. Day for Night plans to bring back digital artist Jeannie Wu’s, famed “glitched digital carpet” that covers 45,000 square feet. Day for Night attendees who attend the “Red Stage”, will be able to see and dance on Wu’s digital pixelated rug.

BUKU Music Festival Announces Travis Scott and Deadmau5 as Headliners

From March 11 – 12,  BUKU Music + Art Project festival will be returning to New Orleans for its 5th consecutive year. The headliners who have been announced so far are Travis Scott, Deadmau5, Zeds Dead, Sleigh Bells, and Young Thug. BUKU music festival plans to have multiple stages located throughout Mardi Gras World with a serene backdrop of the industrial Mississippi river. There will also be the live art Gallery, Fort BUKU, where local and national artists craft sculptures, create graffiti art, and paint in real time. Fort BUKU aims to create an interactive experience that gives festival attendees a personal connection with the artists.
